Welcome to the birthplace of the automobile! In 1886 Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz were working on a new invention – the first motor car. Today people can visit the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museum in the city.

In Stuttgart nature goes hand in hand with technology as tradition goes with innovation. It spans the diversity of a pulsating economic metropolis and rich history. All of this is to be found amidst idyllic, topographically appealing scenery.

There are many parks and green areas, iconic city districts, vineyards in the heart of the city, mineral baths for relaxation and much more. In short: the city is all about a high quality of life. Stuttgart is modern, urban, cosmopolitan, sustainable and sometimes a little edgy. A great city with a little bit extra.

Stuttgart's rich cultural life will surprise you: Stuttgart Ballet, State Opera, National Gallery and Museum of Art, treatres and museums. Furthermore many festivals, concerts and celebrations shape city life: starting with Cannstatter Folk Festival, Weindorf Wine Festival and the Christmas Market to the Summer Festival of Cultures or the  International Animated Film Festival. And if you still have energy left, you can go to the clubs and bars in the city centre.

And if you want to relax just visit Wilhelma zoo and botanical garden, Lake Bärensee, Killesberg Park or have a stroll on a wine trail.
